Fear Not (There is Nothing To Fear), For I AM With You; Do Not Look Around You In Terror and be Dismayed, For I AM Your God. I Will Strengthen You And Harden You To Difficulties, Yes, I Will Help You; Yes, I Will Hold You Up And Retain You With My (Victorious) Right Hand Of Rightness And Justice.
We Are ASSURED And KNOW That (God Being A Partner In Their Labor) ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER And Are (FITTING INTO A PLAN) For GOOD To And For Those Who LOVE GOD And Are Called According To (HIS) Design And Purpose.
For about two weeks now, I have had Isaiah 41:10 on my mind, not all of the verse, just the underlined part of the verse. I couldn’t remember the address, but I have read these verses many times so I knew the verse, but could not find it. So guess what I did? I Googled it, then went to the Bible to find the whole verse. I have had difficulties all my life, and the last eight years were the most difficult, even tho I saw many miracles in the process. I have to remember that God said HE would give GRACE for Every OBSTACLE. So far, I have ALWAYS found HIM FAITHFUL…SO…”NO WORRIES”
I have always loved this verse in its’ entirety. The part that unsettled me somewhat, was the, “I Will Strengthen You And Harden You” excerpt, that kept nagging at me throughout the last two weeks.
Romans 8:28, only the “ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER” excerpt, began to nag at me this last week. As I was contemplating these two verses, (I am very visual), a picture of a cow chewing its’ cud came to mind. As a little girl on the farm, I would look through the fence into the cow pasture. There would be a few cows, some standing, some lying down, but all chewing their cud. I would stand for hours watching them and trying to figure out why, and what, they were doing with that particular action. I never did figure it out, tho it fascinated me.
As I matured and studied, I learned, the “what” they were chewing their cud for, and the “why” they were (the cows) chewing their cud. It appeared they, (the cows), were chewing gum, and the cud was their gum. Doctors say, that chewing gum does relax you and produces more saliva which helps with digestion. Of course, that was why they chewed the cud, and they ‘did’ look relaxed.
Did You Know Cow’s Chew Their Cud, Swallow, Regurgitate, Then Chew, Swallow, Regurgitate, “Again and Again” To Break Down The Cud For Digestion?
That is what God want’s us to do when we read the Scriptures. Break it down, think on this part, study that part, over and over again until it is easily digestible and becomes part of our lives. I love both verses. The Romans 8:28 verse brought to my mind the many areas of my life that I thought were disjointed, but as I look back they fit together like a puzzle.
For instance: The insurance agent Job, The contract advertising Job, The different management positions, the secretarial and clerical positions, ALL fit together when I went into business for myself for 26 years. I could not have accomplished ownership for 26 years without the experience and knowledge they gave me. As I was progressing through the various jobs, I had no Idea God was working and weaving His PLAN for my life…even down to the Trouble along the way to Strengthen and Harden me. I still haven’t figured out the last 8 years. I keep going as I WILL FIGURE IT OUT LATER ON…”NO WORRIES”
Some of the jobs were more enjoyable than the others, but I loved all of it as a package. They were Tools in my Tool Box. If I did not like a particular job I did not stay long, but picked up enough knowledge that as part of the tool box, it worked to my advantage.
The sad part is, youth does not see very well. You see better as you grow older. Don’t despise your life experiences, look for the Tapestry God is Weaving for you as He will take the bad experiences that you and satan have made and turn them ALL AROUND FOR YOUR GOOD IF YOU ACCEPT HIS WAY OF LIVING LIFE.
We wrestle with life most of the time instead of accepting and Living Gods’ way. Just pick-it-up and keep going when the Flesh trips you up. Don’t stop, Don’t quit…keep going. I’m talking about gossip, overeating, wrath, anger, jealousy, envy, coveting, backbiting, etc. Do some Bible Study and look these Scriptures up…Google them!
These are considered actions of the flesh as well as others. There’s more, but these get the least attention. To comfort you, no one except Jesus has overcome them all. He is our high bar to follow. The scripture says, “all have come short of the Glory of God”. The scripture also says, “If you have broken one commandment you have broken them all”.
Do you understand now? We who follow Jesus are a work in progress. Say…Grace, Grace. Repent and turn around toward Jesus. Grace is not a license to disobey the commandments, but to overcome the flesh.
“I HOPE YOU ENJOYED ISAIAH 41:10 AND ROMANS 8:28 AS MUCH AS I DID”
“HAVE A GOOD DAY”
